BlogsWhere are the HispanicsSubmitted by paul on Mon, 02/16/2009 - 13:23.
Interesting video on Hispanics in Soccer. Primary reason for not playing: "Pay to Play System". We need more inclusive programs for kids to play! How true!Submitted by paul on Mon, 02/09/2009 - 15:31.
I remember a few years back, my relatives complaining about their flight to Toronto. I told them, hey, "it used to take people months to get here from Europe, now it takes 8 hours and you are complaining?" Andrew's Concert Last NightSubmitted by paul on Tue, 02/03/2009 - 19:24.
Here is Andrew playing with the concert Orchestra. This first piece is kind of fun. Here is the 2nd One: Current Economic SituationSubmitted by paul on Fri, 01/30/2009 - 02:01.
I think we are missing the point. The old system is broken. Let's talk about that. There are arguments about what to do to help ease the burden of the current recession. The Democrats want a stimulus package that includes $850 billion package, the Republicans want more tax cuts. It's the same debate we have been hearing about for the last 30 years. Yet, it seems to me that something much bigger is really happening right now. There is a change that is much bigger than stimulus spending or tax cuts. It's the Internet. Response from Senator LugarSubmitted by paul on Fri, 12/19/2008 - 17:51.
Senator Lugar responded to my letter. Once again, he and his staff impress me because he always answers my question. The other 2 representatives I write, always give me a form letter that does not address what I wrote about in the first place. While Lugar's has elements of a form letter, he still answers my question. Most important to me, he really does sum up what our challenges are globally. Something I am not sure his fellow Hoosiers truly appreciate or understand the impact of the global marketplace. If we lose him, it will be a sad day for this country: Dear Mr. Lorinczi: The Wall Street BailoutSubmitted by paul on Mon, 12/08/2008 - 21:30.
Now that the elections are over and Sarah Palin is back where she should be, I need to ask a questions. Why did we let Wall Street get away with getting their money, while we are forcing the Auto Industry to give us more in return? It seems a little strange to me that the auto industry is being forced to provide more concessions for a loan bailout, while the financial industry only got their hand slapped. Letter to Senator LugarSubmitted by paul on Thu, 11/06/2008 - 13:55.
Dear Senator Lugar, I just read today that you have expressed no interest in the post of Secretary of State in an President Elect Obama cabinet. Your country needs you in this important role. You are the one figure in this country that can represent our interests abroad with instant credibility from world leaders. There is no one more qualified than you. Will Joe the Plumber get a cabinet position in a McCain Administration?Submitted by paul on Sat, 11/01/2008 - 14:17.
Joe the Plumber should be the McCain Administration's Secretary of State. His extensive knowledge of US-Israeli relations makes him the logical choice should the McCain administration win. His education and background makes him an expert in different forms of government. Particularly, his understanding of the differences between Communism, Socialism, and Capitalism. Oh, I forgot, I believe he is an expert in Islam too. After all, he has eaten lamb at the Lebanese restaurant in Toledo. (Well, maybe he hasn't).
