9/11 when everything changed
The day fear took over
The age of anger and hate
They want to kill you
Can't you see?
Give up your freedom
You will be safe
Give your power to me
Let's fight with each other
Let's call each other names
Just do what I say
No questions please
Christians beware
The end is near
We will make it happen
Follow us there
Do not think
It is no longer necessary
Feel the anger, the fear
Kill the enemy
No longer do we fear, fear itself
We embrace it everyday
Giving up our freedoms
So we can be safe
What happen to America?
The beacon on the hill
Where hope was the one constant
Now replaced by ignorance, prejudice, anger, and fear
What happen to our faith?
We lost it in our anger
We lost it when we chose revenge
We gave up love as an answer
We are supposed to be enlightened
As our knowledge grows
But we have now embraced ignorance
As the norm
It sells
The age of anger and hate
Our new way of life
We have given up our freedoms
So we can be safe
