The Wall Street Bailout

Now that the elections are over and Sarah Palin is back where she should be, I need to ask a questions.

Why did we let Wall Street get away with getting their money, while we are forcing the Auto Industry to give us more in return? It seems a little strange to me that the auto industry is being forced to provide more concessions for a loan bailout, while the financial industry only got their hand slapped.

I agree that the auto industry should get the money with some strings attached. And, I don't think it is all bad, if they go into bankruptcy. After all, the free market is supposed to reward those that have made the right decisions and punish those who have not.

But Wall Street? Why didn't the same rules apply to them? And, today, they are not even telling us what the did with the money. Where is it? The whole thing just really smells like a major crime to me.

This kind of stuff just never seems right to me.
